Depending on whether the scar is shallow or deep, 4-8 sessions will be indicated with 6-8 weeks apart between each one. After each session, patient can see the scar gradually fill up itself.
Again, it depends on depth of the scar. If patient maintain correctly indicated number of session, effectiveness can reach 90%.
The laser can cause an unpleasant stinging. There may be pain, bruising and swelling over the treated area for a while after each session. During treatment period, patient skin is extremely vulnerable to sunshine, heat and water. Hence, minimized exposure to these factors is requested to prevent infection or darkened skin in the aftermath.
